Our studio is equipped with high-end medium format cameras, the finest German lenses and the largest digital capture sensors available. This combination allows us to capture an extraordinary level of detail and tonal range, resulting in superior image quality. Our years of experience and knowledge of fine lighting ensure that each portrait captures the essence of the sitter, creating a keepsake that will be cherished for years.

Our basic package is priced at £365.00 (inclusive of VAT). This covers an initial consultation, the photo shoot, editing, and some cosmetic retouching of the final images. We work closely with you to understand your needs and expectations, whether it’s for a professional requirement or a personal memento.

After the initial consultation, a date for the shoot is set. A deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking. On the day of the shoot, you’ll visit our studio for a relaxed session where we’ll discuss wardrobe choices and approach to the shoot. If required, a professional make-up artist can be arranged for an additional cost of £125.00 (inclusive of VAT).

During the shoot, we collaborate with you to achieve the best look, lighting, and composition for your portrait. We review the images as we go, narrowing down to six favourites, from which three final images are selected. Additional retouching beyond the basic package can be quoted separately. Prior to the shoot, a signed model release form is required, confirming the sitter’s consent to be photographed and acknowledging the rights of the photographer and The Sitting Room to utilise the images for print, reproduction, and promotional purposes across various platforms including our website, social media, and other marketing channels.

You’ll receive the final three retouched images electronically for personal use. High-resolution files are kept on file for high-quality printing by our specialist printer. We retain the copyright on all images; in particular the right to solely reproduce them to ensure quality and consistency in image reproduction is maintained. Print prices start at £35.00 (Inclusive of VAT) with size and finish options available for discussion post-shoot.

Sessions typically last between one to two hours. We understand that some people may feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, so to get the best results we ensure a relaxed environment and never rush the process. Please allow a reasonable amount of time to get to the shoot in order to feel calm and to be able to fully enjoy the experience.

Upon conclusion of the session, the outstanding balance is due. The digital images will then be sent via email the following day. 

For larger sittings or location-based commissions, our photographer is available to discuss your specific requirements and provide a project-based quote.
